Sunday Funday

Although this weekend started off a little lame, yesterday made up for it. I woke up early to pick up my boyfriend from the airport, and then we headed to our favorite spot for breakfast in Grosse Pointe, Mack Avenue Diner. The place is closing for a little while for renovations, so we had to soak up as much diner breakfast time atmosphere as we could. Then we napped and watched the Red Wings game until family time. My mom was already festive when we got to my parents' house at 5. It was a good thing we came with beer and Skinny Girl Margaritas in hand, because we had some catching up to do! We had a beautiful dinner with steaks and veggies. The onion and potato side my mother came up with was amazing! She took little red skin potatoes and cut them up into chunks, microwaved them for a few minutes, and then added some cut up sweet onion, olive oil, garlic salt, and pepper, and stuck the mixture on the grill. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Fabulous wine we had with dinner!

Ms. Manners would be so proud. Clean plate with silverware at five o'clock.
