Josh and I at Ellisse and Will's Wedding at the DAC
This past weekend was a blast. It was so nice to be home for the first time in a month. Josh and I had the pleasure of attending our friends' wedding at the Detroit Athletic Club. This is the wedding I prepared for by hitting Nordstrom with my mom a few weeks ago. I was so excited to get ready because I had planned on wearing my hair up in some sort of low pony with lots of volume-not hard or so I thought, I had my make up picked out, minimal jewelry was necessary since the dress is so busy, and most importantly I had my whole outfit down to the Spanx picked out ahead of time! What I did not count on was the low pony with some volume on top taking almost an hour and I also had a bit of an issue with the new Spanx. They came with four bra strap things, it was confusing...
Even with a few last minute hang ups, we still made it to the ceremony in time. It was a perfect ceremony; short, sweet, unique, and moving to see our friends take such a big step. My favorite part was the Celtic Knot Ceremony, where they literally "tied the knot." It was such a lovely and interesting touch that I had to snap a photo.
Ellisse and Will tying the knot
Angelina, Me, Josh, Dee, and Rosa all looking fabulous,
even though my bow was refusing to cooperate.
Loving the champs toasts!
My low pony with not as much volume as I had hoped, but it turned out pretty well!
It still amazing me that it took me longer to do a pretty pony than it normally takes me
to do my hair down with lots of volume and big waves. Ridiculous!
LOVED the centerpieces!
As you probably noticed, my beautiful new pumps somehow did not manage to make it into a single photo, go figure, so I will have to post them later because they are too good to be left out completely! Ellisse and Will's wedding was beautiful and so much fun! The dinner was so good, the music was great, and everyone hit the dance floor. Josh and I decided that we have to learn the wobble wobble dance asap! HA!
Josh and I spent Sunday catching up with our friends Max and Kristen, finally catching The Dark Knight Rises, and spending some time with Josh's family. It was all in all an action packed, amazing weekend!
