As if I did not eat enough Saturday evening at Nanny's, I got another amazing meal at my parents' house Sunday night. Steaks, potatoes, veggies, and salad, yum! Sunday night dinners are a big deal in my family, and if you are a family member within 60 miles, you are expected to attend. Even as an undergraduate student at Michigan, living in Ann Arbor (which is an hour from Grosse Pointe) I still drove home often on Sundays for dinner with the fam. It's a great time for us all to catch up and share a great meal, while my mother lectures us on the appropriate amount of salad dressing. My dad hits the market early Sunday mornings (he goes very early so that he can beat all of the Italian mothers to the produce), and then cooks amazing meals in the evenings, normally after watching hours of hunting shows and sports. My mother...well she sets a mean table.
Dan, the grill man
Peggy's pretty dining room table, before we all came in and messed it up, while eating way too much salad dressing.
Big benefit of coming home for dinner, my dad buys me groceries to take back to my apartment!
